Clowns im Dienst
The „Clowns im Dienst“(clowns on duty) in the hospital of
Reutlingen and the university hospital for paediatrics in Tübingen
try to ease children's tension before important operations and support
their healing and recovery process. The clowns always play in pairs directly
at a sick child's bed. They know their condition and try to take away
their fears.
Furthermore, the „Clowns im Dienst" visit old people suffering from dementia
and handicapped people in their wards. They visit the old people at their beds
or in the lounge, bringing relief through music, songs, and common laughter.
